Home Bubble is an interactive storytelling project where the interaction reveals intimate sentiments and emotions from a past experience. The user uses the mouse to scan over the image to reveal hidden sentiments reflecting how we often hide our emotions out of the fear of vulnerability. In this action, the blur transforms to reveal a clear image underneath, and text of the spoken words which can become blurred again by the user moving the mouse. A reflection of how emotions can be revealed, and just as easily hidden again.

The music, AI talks, and my own voice hidden in the photo are a reflection of my own personal experience. The photo is of me on Valentine’s Day three years ago. The nonlinear interaction allows for different people to experience a different journey depending on what their movements of the mouse reveal first visually, and sonically. I like this uncertainty and different understandings reflecting the unpredictability of any potential relationship and how our own actions impact their outcome.
